Emirates is good. No TV hassels. JFK to HYD trip is good because it starts at 11pm but on the way back it was little painful because you start your journey at 4 am in the morning and if you are a person like me who can't sleep at irregular hours, then it can become painful sitting for long time in the flight.
We are planning to make a trip to Hyderabad, India along with my wife and my little baby boy. After reading all of your experiences, I am not sure which one should I opt for. We have an expired Visa on passport, planning to Use AP. As we are travelling first time with the little baby boy, I am looking for some hassle free flying. I stay pretty closer to Harrisburg, PA ...thanks

Thats the right way. Probably I should not have told him that I have AP in my hands. This is what my attorney said. But now I have no idea if my h1 will be extended or not once I have used the AP.
I got my H1 extension...though I entered on AP. You should get it too.

This is a good bill. The 50% rule will impact Indian bodyshoppers and Top Indian outsourcing companies. But genuine companies like Microsoft,Google, Oracle and other US companies will not be impacted that much as they sincerely search whether US talent is available. But will it pass? In 2007 it did not move as they planned to consider for CIR. This time also same argument may come. But some genuine Indian consulting companies also will be impacted. I aske my lawyer to send the document on june 29th so it will reach july -1st or second. what happen if the USCIS recieve the document on july 1st?
I don't think there will be anyone there Saturday or Sunday. FedEx, UPS, and USPS also don't deliver Sundays, and usually not on Saturdays, either.

I dont see any improvement at chennai.I contacted consulate after 7 working days (after interview) and got reply to allow another 4 work days.
Consulate has handed over the passport to VFS on Jan 2nd and VFS has dispatched on the same day.I would be receiving that today.

It will not work in case of power failure unless you have UPS back up for your modem. You will need standard landline to work with Brinks. I would advise to get cellular backup and make that number is first number to call in case of a break in. Burglars generally cut phone line when they become aware of security system. There have been some complaints where security companies just called the landline and since you didn't answer they left a voicemail. Logically they are suppose to all cops.
I have a cell backup and Brinks has called my cell when no one answered home phone. So if there is a power failure, the system may not send and alarm to Brinks when a break in occurs not sure? Does it uses a phone line to send the alarm to Brinks etc?

I thought uscis generally followed 'first-in-first-out' rule. That is one reason I-485 receipt notices never show PD. Am I right?
I doubt the USCIS has any rules regarding processing queue. Some people are waiting 10+ years, others receive approvals in 2 months.

If you still didn't get it, objective is to explore the options to report abuse of L1. Benefits are: genuine people still get the opportunity, reduce over supply in market, not bring wages down etc.

2. President can pass an 'Executive Order' to pass interim relief. So it should be possible. It'll depend on the independent interpretation of the law by the White House, and it won't be based on whatever you read elsewhere.

This helps answer my question. I am a little unclear about promotions and whether that will qualify one for a new labor, etc. I personally am not planning to change anything at the moment. My promotion, etc is not being stalled because of my status. So I am OK. Thanks again for your answer.
Yes, promotions will qualify you and by promotion I mean a more Senior position, that needs more experience or an Advanced degree. Basically its just like you are applying for a NEW job altogether. You will need to file a new Labor and then I-140, but this time in EB2.

it looks like many folks got their approval one day after filing an SR - coincidence or a trigger? Is filing the SR somehow triggering the IOs to look at your file ?
However, many people who filed SR on the first working day of the month 08/02 were not approved the next day. Also, the many others who bombarded the USCIS with multiple requests/queries had to wait much longer or are still waiting.
It is almost like the IOs didn't like to be bothered on the first working day of this month (when the begin working on a fresh set of files) and also didn't like to be pushed too much.
Or is this all just a super coincidence for hundreds of people?
